PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The driver Gresham police suspected struck and killed a roadway flagger in Northeast Gresham on August 31 before fleeing the scene turned herself in to police on Wednesday, officials say.
Gresham police said their investigators sent out a warrant for 26-year-old Courtney McKee’s arrest on Tuesday. McKee turned herself in to the Vancouver Police Department on Wednesday.
The investigation stems from a hit-and-run that ended up killing 50-year-old Miguel Jimenez, who was working as a flagger in a Northeast Gresham construction zone.
After McKee allegedly fled the scene, Jimenez was taken to OHSU, where he was put on life support. Jimenez’s family made the difficult decision to take him off life support after they said it was made clear to them he would not improve.…
