PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Multnomah County workers are pushing back against a return-to-office mandate.
The county informed staff in August of the plan to move to a Hybrid Workplace, requiring them to work in person at least three days a week starting in 2027.

The group of workers, represented by Oregon AFSCME Local 88, is holding a protest outside the county building in Portland Thursday afternoon. They said that employees have been working remotely for the past six years.
The organizers said that a county study showed productivity did not suffer as a result of telework.
