Local leaders gathered to celebrate new roadway improvements at the intersection of Stafford Road and Childs Road near Lake Oswego and West Linn on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
The improvements include a new roundabout, new bike lanes between Pattulo Way and Rosemont Road and a safer intersection at Johnson Road and Stafford Road.
“In November 2019, the Board of County Commissioners approved recommendations from the Community Road Fund Advisory Committee, the Traffic Safety Commission and county staff to fund projects throughout the county,” said Clackamas County Commissioner Paul Savas in a press release. “Thanks to the Community Road Fund, traffic at the Stafford Road and Johnson Road intersection is now safer by removing the skew for better sight distance for people traveling northbound.”…
