Portland Police identify woman accused of stealing car with 2 kids inside

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — The woman accused of stealing a car with two kids inside has been identified by the Portland Police Bureau as 33-year-old Portland resident Iosha Dashae Millage.

Millage has been booked into the Clark County Jail on several charges, including driving with a suspended or revoked license, attempt to elude, reckless driving and being a fugitive from justice. The fugitive from justice charge was brought specifically by PPB after detectives were granted a warrant for Millage for several charges, including kidnapping and robbery, police said.

Millage was arrested Monday afternoon following a chase that ensued from Portland, onto I-5 North and into Washington.

Before that, the woman allegedly jumped into a running vehicle on N Interstate Ave. with two kids inside whose father was inside a business. The man saw the woman go into the running car as he was returning to it.

“The father attempted to stop the theft, but the woman accelerated away from the scene with the two children in the back of the vehicle. The father suffered minor injuries to his hand,” PPB said Monday.
