PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – For the first time in more than a decade, shelters throughout the Portland area are working together to slash adoption costs for just three days. On Oct. 25-27, five area shelters will be offering open adoptions with 75% off adoption fees as part of Adopt ASAP. It’s a collaborative effort by the multi-state Animal Shelter Alliance of Portland (ASAP) as member organizations such as the Oregon Humane Society say they are overrun.
