Stabbing suspect caught in Mt. Scott-Arleta; victim won’t press charges

A reported stabbing drew a strong police response on Tuesday morning, March 31st, at the complicated intersection of S.E. 62nd Avenue and Holgate Boulevard in the Mt. Scott-Arleta neighborhood. Nine responding officers were comparing witness statements in the parking lot of a nearby restaurant.

Paramedics from the Woodstock Fire Station 25, and an AMR ambulance, also responded, but left after finding the injury minor.

PPB Public Information Manager Mike Benner told THE BEE: “There was some kind of confrontation between two people. One person was reportedly stabbed with a small knife. Officers did have a suspect in custody, but the victim declined medical treatment, and [also refused] to press charges.”…
