Portland Public Schools presenting $50 million in budget cuts, including staff reductions

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The Portland Public Schools superintendent will present her recommended budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The proposal includes reducing hundreds of staff positions to close a $50 million budget shortfall.

Superintendent Kimberlee Armstrong is expected to deliver her budget message at roughly 6:40 p.m.
