Oregon warns of ‘highly aggressive’ invasive hornets after Vancouver sighting

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – After a live yellow-legged hornet was found in Vancouver, Washington, officials in Oregon are asking the public to report suspected sightings of the “aggressive” invasive species.

On April 30, a Washington State Department of Agriculture grain inspector found a yellow-legged hornet on a ship at the Port of Vancouver during a routine inspection, officials said.
