PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Drivers across the Portland metro area are facing major weekend traffic changes, with Interstate 205 reopening at the Abernethy Bridge while Interstate 5 is set to shut down overnight through the Rose Quarter.
Northbound I-205 has reopened Saturday at the Abernethy Bridge between West Linn and Oregon City after overnight concrete pouring on the bridge. The on-ramp from OR 43 to northbound I-205 also has reopened.
Officials said the work is part of a major seismic improvement project. More information is available on the I-205 corridor and Abernethy Bridge Project page…
