NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WJAR) — Authorities said a driver whose pickup truck went off the road, over an embankment, and into the river under the Railroad Street Bridge in North Smithfield Tuesday morning, may have experienced a medical episode before the crash.
The driver, who was not identified, was taken to the hospital with what authorities have described as non life-threatening injuries.
