Woman sentenced to serve 3 years in prison for deadly hit-and-run crash

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — A woman accused of hitting and killing a man on North Main Street in Providence in 2023 was sentenced in court Wednesday.

A judge sentenced Alisha Pina to 10 years in jail, of which she’ll have to serve three, a three-year license suspension, and a $5,000 fine.

Pina pleaded no contest to the charge of fleeing the scene of a deadly crash.
