Man on home confinement arrested after leaving ACI, cutting off ankle monitor

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — A 19-year-old Central Falls man who bolted from the ACI Friday morning is back in custody.

Cranston Police Col. Michael Winquist told 12 News officers were called to the ACI after learning that a man on home confinement took off running from the ACI and cut his GPS ankle monitor off near Zenith Drive.

The man, who Winquist identified as Abilio DeBurgo, was at the ACI for court-ordered drug testing. DeBurgo was out on home confinement while awaiting trial for first-degree robbery…
