2 raccoons test positive for rabies in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Pawtucket Animal Control received confirmation that two raccoons found in the city have tested positive for rabies, police announced Friday.

The raccoons were located in July about a mile a part from each other on Thomas Avenue and Oneida Street, according to police.

Police are reminding residents to make sure their pets are vaccinated and to avoid contact with wild animals…
