Providence’s Little Sister to close later this year

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A popular Puerto Rican café and bakery in Providence will soon close its doors after more than eight years in business.

In a social media post Wednesday afternoon, Milena Pagán announced that Little Sister, the restaurant she opened with her partner Darcy Coleman back in 2019, will close for good later this year.

“I want to set the narrative straight from the jump: This decision is purely lifestyle driven,” Pagán explained. “My Papi is getting very old, he’s 78. I haven’t spent significant time with him in the 20 years I’ve been studying and working in America. That’s a long time to be away from your family.”…
