Former Rhode Island Department of Human Services supervisor pleads guilty to SNAP fraud

(WJAR) — Rhode Island U.S. Attorney’s Office said a former Rhode Island Department of Human Services supervisor pleaded guilty in a scheme to defraud the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

According to federal prosecutors, 59-year-old Nadine Jean Baptiste used her position to improperly access and exploit the personal information and benefits of SNAP recipients.
