Nice start to the weekend, but heavy rain potential on Sunday in Southern New England

The weekend will start on a beautiful note on Saturday, but the weather will take a turn for the worse for the second half of the weekend.

Humidity will be comfortable on Saturday, but will spike on Sunday when it will feel downright tropical.

Expect increasing clouds on Saturday night. The weather goes downhill in a hurry early Sunday morning as a warm front and weak wave of low pressure approaches Southern New England. Rain likely begins around sunrise on Sunday.

The rain could become heavy, with downpours throughout Sunday morning. A few rumbles of thunder can’t be ruled out. The rain could be heavy enough to cause street and poor drainage flooding.
