Leaders celebrate opening of 195 District Park Pavilion with ribbon cutting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Leaders gathered in downtown Providence to celebrate the opening of the 195 District Park Pavilion on Tuesday.

The 195 District said that the pavilion host The Guild and Seven Stars Bakery, bringing locally crafted food and beverages.

“This is a central point in the city of Providence, and I think the most exciting place to be,” Mayor Brett Smiley said. “This 3,500-square-foot pavilion is going to add key amenities and make the park even more functional, comfortable and enjoyable.”

According to the 195 District website, the pavilion will also have bathrooms for the public, storage space for the park, and a small office for park staff…
