A man has died after being hit by multiple vehicles on Interstate 295 in Cumberland, Rhode Island, on Tuesday night.
Rhode Island State Police told WJAR they responded to I-295 north for a report of a crash involving a tow truck and a pedestrian. Troopers said they found a man with fatal injuries at the scene. They said the man appeared to have been lying on the highway before being hit by the tow truck and two other vehicles.
The tow truck remained at the crash scene, police said. No charges or citations have been issued to any of the drivers…
