CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — Cranston Mayor Ken Hopkins asked for a 7.44% tax levy increase in his 2026-2027 budget proposal to help fight the city’s growing multi-million dollar budget deficit.
“I’m not gonna answer any questions,” Hopkins told NBC 10 at an event Monday after denying several interview requests regarding the city’s budget.
