Temporary shields placed on Cranston ramp after barrier fell onto train tracks

CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — Rhode Island Department of Transportation acting Director Robert Rocchio said crews are making good progress when it comes to reopening the ramp that failed Friday night, sending debris onto active train tracks.

After approval from Amtrak, RIDOT crews now have extended work windows over rail lines.
