Swansea Public Schools has announced in a release the appointment of Nicholas Overy as the next Principal of Joseph Case Junior High School.
Overy brings more than a decade of experience within the district, having served Swansea Public Schools for the past eleven years, including nine years as Principal of Gardner Elementary School and two years as Assistant Principal at Joseph Case Junior High School. Prior to his time in Swansea, he worked at Somerset Middle School and Talbot Middle School, building a strong foundation in middle-level education and leadership across grade levels. He earned his undergraduate degree from Rhode Island College and later completed his master’s degree in 2015 through Endicott College’s MSAA Leadership Licensure Program.
Throughout his career, Overy has been known for his student-centered approach to leadership, grounded in authenticity, kindness, and a commitment to doing what is best for students.
