Heritage deal to buy Providence brew pub, 2 pizzerias is off

With a short statement, Heritage Hospitality and Crisp Restaurant Group said the deal is off for the sale of Providence’s Union Station Brewery and Providence Coal Fired Pizza with locations in Providence and North Kingstown.

Newport-based Heritage announced the intention to buy the brewery and restaurants more than six months ago, on Oct. 24, 2025.

“After a thorough process exploring a deal, Heritage Restaurant Group and Crisp Restaurant Group agreed that moving forward together would not be the best fit at this time,” said a joint statement released by Heritage spokesman Matt Lyons and Crisp Restaurant Group’s Dave Bertolini…
