First of three rounds of rain arrives Wednesday afternoon

Bright and breezy conditions alongside above average temperatures were the story to start the new week, but a few instances of wet weather are now in the forecast for the next seven days. Showers from an eastward progressing low pressure system will look to overspread the region between 2-5 PM this afternoon, continuing into tonight as winds remain gusty.

Forecasted precipitation amounts remain generally on track from the past couple days, with most spots likely on either side of a quarter inch of rain while some may near or surpass a half inch.
