The Diocese of Fall River has announced that in celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday and continuing the National Eucharistic Revival (2022-2025), a National Eucharistic Pilgrimage will be held May 24-July 5 and will include stops in 18 dioceses, including the Diocese of Fall River from June 29-30. The theme of the pilgrimage is “One Nation Under God.”
The route, which has been dedicated to St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, the first U.S. citizen to be canonized, starts in St. Augustine, Florida, site of the first Mass to be celebrated on American soil, and concludes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its course will bring it through most of the original 13 colonies. The pilgrimage begins Memorial Day weekend and ends Fourth of July weekend and will coincide with the U.S. Bishops’ consecration of our country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June as part of its 250th birthday observance.
