Stop & Shop cuts prices in N.Y. area stores

NANUET, N.Y. – Stop & Shop said it has reduced prices at all 137 of its stores in New York and New Jersey, with lower everyday pricing on thousands of items across nearly every department. The cuts span both national brands and the retailer’s private label offerings and are focused on frequently purchased customer favorites, including regional staples such as pick-your-own bagels from the Stop & Shop Bakery, Acme Smoked Salmon, and Nathan’s Famous hot dogs.

The move expands a broader pricing initiative that now covers more than 350 stores across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey.
