Cranston restaurant owner accused of fraud charged with filing false police report

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WJAR) — The East Greenwich Police Department said that the owner of two Cranston restaurants forced to close due to a business dispute and fraud allegations was arrested for allegedly making a false police report.

Twenty-eight-year-old Andrew Loffredo was charged with making a false report of a crime.

Loffredo’s restaurants, Campanella’s and Itri Ristorante, were forced to close after allegations of ownership disputes, inconsistent operating agreements, poor financial controls, unpaid taxes, bounced employee checks, unpaid vendors, and operating with insufficient funds…
