The Big Apple, along with parts of Long Island, the Hudson Valley, most of Connecticut, northern New Jersey, and eastern Pennsylvania, is under Flood Watch.
“A slow-moving low-pressure system will bring multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms Tuesday through Wednesday,” the National Weather Service said.
“There is potential for life-threatening flash flooding,” the statement continued. “Isolated severe thunderstorms possible Tuesday afternoon and evening, mainly for northeast New Jersey and New York City.”
