Officers from the Nassau County Police Department received a 911 call around 4:45 p.m. about an injured bird seen near 99 South Service Rd.

The officers found a young Osprey that had fallen out of its nest and were able to safely secure the bird.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation was called, and the hawk was transported to a licensed wildlife facility, where it was treated for its injuries before being released back into the wild…
