As a father of six, I think about public safety the same way most parents do. I think about whether my children are safe when they leave the house. I think about our parents and grandparents walking through the neighborhood. I think about the small business owner who works from early in the morning until late at night just to keep the doors open. And I think about the families who work hard, follow the rules and simply want to feel secure in the community they call home.
