A family awaiting justice for a man who died after he was punched on Glenwood Avenue will have to wait at least another day for the case to conclude.
On Monday morning, family and friends of David Millette Jr. filled nearly half of the courtroom for the sentencing of Tyrell Moore. Millette was a 27-year-old managing partner atMidwood Smokehouse in Raleigh when Moore hit him during a confrontation on Glenwood Avenue.
After the punch, Millette fell to the ground, hit his head and died at a hospital about six days later. He left behind a now 2-year-old son, born seven months after his father’s death.
