VIDEO: Principal cuts off valedictorian’s graduation speech in North Carolina

CLAYTON, N.C. (WNCN) — The Clayton High School valedictorian told CBS 17 on Monday afternoon that the school was refusing to give her her diploma following her graduation speech to her Class of 2026.

School leaders said the speech included unapproved remarks that were caught on camera.

“Before I leave the stage, I have one last thing to say. Every single person here has a voice.”
