RALEIGH — North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey on Friday, June 5, announced the arrests of Gurjant Singh Gill, 42, and Karmpreet Kaur Gill, 41, of Raleigh. Each faces charges of insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, both felonies.
Special agents with the N.C. Department of Insurance Criminal Investigations Division allege the couple submitted insurance claims to multiple insurers for the same roof damage within a two-year period.
According to arrest warrants, after receiving a settlement from State Farm on Oct. 10, 2025, the Gills allegedly sought an additional $30,000 from Homesite Insurance by filing a second claim for the same roofing damage…
