CLAYTON — The Clayton Fire Department installed dozens of smoke alarms and identified potential fire safety hazards during its annual Smoke Alarm Saturday program June 6 in a downtown Clayton neighborhood.
Firefighters went door to door in the area bounded by South Lombard Street, Compton Street, Clayton Boulevard and East Second Street to assess smoke alarm coverage and provide fire safety information to residents.
