RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The defense for the woman accused of shooting two attorneys outside of the Wake County Courthouse last month is attempting to move her to mental health facility.
Gwendolyn White is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder in a shooting on May 22 that injured attorneys Mary Harris and Jeffrey Whitley near the Wake County Courthouse in the 300 block of Fayetteville Street. Both victims are expected to recover.
The incident happened after a court hearing that day involving a lawsuit White filed against the Town of Rolesville. Following the hearing, White allegedly took a gun out of her car and shot Harris and Whitley, who were representing the town…
