Cameras installed at Wake Forest greenway in response to vandalism

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) — Security cameras have been installed at a greenway in Wake Forest, officials said Thursday.

According to Town of Wake Forest officials, four solar-powered, motion-activated cameras were placed outside tunnels of newly-opened sections of the Dunn Creek Greenway.

The cameras are in response to recent incidents involving graffiti and other vandalism, according to town officials.

“The goal is to make the greenway safer and make it easier for police to identify vandals who flagrantly damage public property,” town officials said in a statement…
