Parasitic infection cases causing watery diarrhea top 200 in North Carolina

ASHEVILLE, NC (WLOS) — More than 200 cases of cyclosporiasis have been reported across North Carolina as state health officials continue to monitor causes.

According to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the highest number of cases has been reported in Wake County. Western North Carolina has also seen confirmed cases, including one in Buncombe County, three in Henderson County, two in McDowell County and one in Rutherford County.
