Motorcyclist taken to hospital after Johnston County I-40 crash when traffic made ‘sudden stop’: Trooper

FOUR OAKS, N.C. (WNCN) — A motorcyclist in his mid-70s was taken to a nearby hospital after crashing in Johnston County while with a group of riders Saturday morning, officials said.

The wreck was reported around 9:30 a.m. along Interstate 40 east near mile marker 319, the exit for McGee Crossroads at N.C. 210, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

The single-vehicle crash happened while a motorcyclist was traveling with a group of other riders and “traffic came to a sudden stop,” a North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper told CBS 17…
