For the most part, the answer is no, according to Virginia Master Conservation Officer Matt Sandy and North Carolina Wildlife Officer Jacob Long, who served as the guest speakers for the August membership meeting for the Lake Gaston Water Safety Council at Long Bridge Volunteer Fire Department in Littleton.
“The Sheriff’s Department is used to running calls on the land,” Long explained. “So when they call Raleigh, they are going to give a street address and a landmark. That’s how the Sheriff’s Department works.”…
