TRUCKEE, Calif. — A wedding and event venue in Truckee is at the center of an escalating dispute after nearby residents raised allegations of unpermitted events, concerns on safety, traffic, noise, and environmental impacts.
After a code compliance investigation request alleged that Austin Ridge Events, a boutique venue for weddings and private gatherings located at 17031 Austin Way, was hosting regular events without the required Use Permits or Outdoor Event Permits, county officials found the property in violation of county code. In August 2025, the county directed the owners to take corrective action and apply for the correct permits.
