Washoe County sheriff’s deputies arrested an 18-year-old suspect late Friday after investigating a domestic disturbance involving a firearm and locating him in a stolen vehicle at a Reno apartment complex.
Deputies began searching for the suspect after responding to the domestic disturbance on May 30, 2026, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said. At about 11:30 p.m., deputies found the suspect in a stolen vehicle at an apartment complex in Reno and believed he may have been armed based on information developed during the investigation.
With assistance from the sheriff’s office RAVEN helicopter and K9 teams, deputies surrounded the vehicle and issued verbal commands. The suspect exited the vehicle and was taken into custody without incident, authorities said.
