SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) – The Sparks Boulevard Project will add an additional lane in each direction between Interstate 80 and Baring Boulevard. The goal is to reduce congestion and improve safety for everyone who uses the road. From expanded lanes and drainage upgrades to pedestrian safety improvements, construction along Sparks Boulevard is hard to miss.
“A lot of progress has been made, so people are seeing major overhead utility relocations, underground utility relocations, storm drain improvements, and roadway excavation,” said Garrett Rodgers, Project Manager with the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County.
