RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Every five years, the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) takes a look at all of its transit programs to find out the best practices. Move More With RTC aims to improve service for customers while finding more responsible ways to operate public transit including fixed route buses, FlexRide, paratransit and senior mobility programs.
“The Move More with RTC plan is basically our short-range transit plan. It’s what guides our public transportation services for the next five years or so,” RTC Senior Transit Planner Alex Cruz said.
The plan assesses everything from rider frequency and operating hours to route performances and their cost. RTC looks at similar transit agencies to help them identify opportunities for improvement…
