Suspect strikes patrol vehicle, injuring a deputy, law enforcement says

LEMMON VALLEY, Nev. (KOLO) – On Saturday, June 6, at 9 p.m., Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a wanted suspect in Lemmon Valley who accelerated toward the deputy’s vehicle, swerved in front of the patrol unit, and struck the left front of the patrol vehicle, according to a Sunday, June 7, agency Facebook post.

The suspect, 21-year-old Travis Cole Aney, had previously been identified in a petit larceny investigation and had fled from an earlier traffic stop the same day, deputies said.
