Smoke from the Hawk Fire that came too close to neighborhoods in Reno, Nevada and Timber Fire burning in the Big Sur area has been drifting into the Sacramento Valley, turning the morning sky hazy in Redding and other communities in far Northern California.
Redding’s air could be smoky again on Wednesday, Aug. 26 and for the rest of the week. The haze is so high in the sky, it is not triggering air quality alerts. Readings on Monday and Tuesday were in the moderate to good range, according to the National Weather Service.
