The Reno Police Department arrested three people in connection with an ongoing investigation into a series of copper wire thefts in the Stead area that have resulted in more than $100,000 in reported losses, police announced on Thursday.
Authorities say the investigation began after AT&T reported multiple copper wire thefts in the area of the 9900 block of N. Virginia St. Investigators determined the suspects were targeting the area during the early morning hours and returning to collect the wire after it had been cut and staged.
