RENO, Nev. (KOLO) — The Eldorado will host its 44th Annual Great Italian Festival Oct. 10-11, a free, family-friendly event on Virginia Street from Second to Sixth Street, according to a news release from the Eldorado.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Wine walk and sauce cook-off
Tickets to the annual Wine Walk are available starting at $31 for a single day, the release said. The ticket includes a souvenir cup with unlimited pours of wine from several regions of Italy from noon to 5 p.m. both days at Locomotion Plaza near the south entrance of Eldorado. Two-day tickets start at $57.
Pasta sauce cookers from Reno and across the West Coast will compete in the annual Family Sauce Cook-Off, according to the release. Pasta will be available for purchase both days starting at 12:30 p.m. for $7 underneath the sky bridge on 4th Street between Eldorado and Silver Legacy. Awards for Best Sauce, People’s Choice and Best Decorated Booth will be presented Sunday night.
VIP tent and food options
A VIP Tent will also be available, with tickets starting at $145 for all-you-can-eat food, all-you-can-drink beverages and shaded seating near the main stage, the release said…
