Firefighters made quick work of a room fire at a Seinor Assisted Living Center, on the 1900 block of Harvard way Monday evening that forced an evacuation after building sprinklers were triggered.
The call for service came in at around 7:45 PM, with crews arriving on the scene just two minutes later. Firefighters were able to knock down the flames by 7:57 PM, successfully containing the fire to a single room and its contents. While the fire was small, the activation of the hallway sprinkler system led to the full evacuation of the building.
A total of 31 personnel responded to the incident, including four engines, a ladder truck, a medical unit, and two battalion chiefs. NV Energy was also spotted on the scene to assist…
