Caring for kids in crisis

CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO)— Nestled between Carson City and Douglas County sits a home many never notice. But inside is a refuge for hundreds of kids throughout the rural parts of the state.

Opened in 2007, Austin’s House is the only emergency shelter for kids who live in rural Nevada.
