$10k reward offered to help solve 2024 double homicide, arson in Henrico

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – Henrico County Police and FBI Richmond are renewing their push for information in the 2024 double homicide of two men found shot to death at a residence on East Nine Mile Road, announcing a $10,000 reward for tips leading to an arrest and conviction.

Detective R. Breeden, a Henrico Police homicide detective, said officers were called just after 5 a.m. March 29, 2024, to 907 E. Nine Mile Road for a report of two people shot. Police found Jemarlo Tisdale, 31, and Rufus Witcher, 36, dead from gunshot wounds, Breeden said.

A fire was reported at the same location just after 2 a.m. on April 1, 2024. Investigators determined it was arson and that it is believed to be connected to the killings, Breeden said.
