CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Chesterfield church says it’s being cut off from the community, after Virginia State University fenced off the street in front of their building without informing them.
The metal gate on Third Avenue comes with other enhanced security measures put into place after a shooting on campus injured five on Aug. 15. Leadership at The Lord’s Church said they understand the need to keep students safe but a lack of communication from the school has them disappointed.
